70-71 Ebody Clock Set Cable

If your 70-71 E-body (Cuda, Challenger) has a broken or missing clock set cable, this new reproduction cable will work for you!

Installation:

1) Remove the clock and speedo knobs. There is a tiny nut inside the knobs, use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the nut. Be very careful not to lose the nut.
2) Remove the light bar at the top of the dash, it is held on by screws.
3) Remove entire plastic gauge bezel cover. It is held on by screws. You may have to take the screws out of the switch bezel as well, so that you can get the gauge bezel loose.
4) Remove the old clock cable by unscrewing the small nut that holds the clock cable to the front of the Rallye gauges. You can sometimes use a small screwdriver to remove the nut. I have also taken a socket that is the same diameter of this nut and shaped the end of the socket so it will fit the nut. I use a dremel tool or air cutter to do this shaping.
5) Unscrew the clock cable from the back of the clock in the gauges.
6) Screw the new clock cable into the back of the clock in the gauges.
7) Screw the nut back on the clock cable to hold it in the front of the gauges.
8) Re-install the plastic gauge bezel cover.
9) Re-install the light bar.
10) Re-install the speedo and clock knobs.
